New Things Happening

So my calander look kinda slow..Looks is the only thing. It couldn't be busier at this time. I am still staying with Kenny(my father-in-law aka.FIL) which is alot of work but atleast he lives with us so that makes it easier. We are buying a modular home and will be putting it on my parents property. I am so excited and this is my mom's lifelong dream. To live next to my parents has also been a dream of mine and we are ready. Boy are we ready. I have been packing, sorting and cleaning too. I can not believe how much stuff a woman can have. A high school friend and I are going into business this fall. Curves in Dallas was up for sale and I love talking about my own weight loss and now we can share our ideas together with my community. So by mid-Oct we should be in the Curves which is allready in operation . The home move will probably be mid November first of December. So I must leave here now but more to follow.........

Still Busy in NC

I know I keep using that as a title or playing off of it but I think it's cute and I am truly busy in NC. Life as I knew it has changed. You see I LOVE doing and going and since my father in law has been sick(3 weeks) I have been at home most all of the mornings and afternoons. Well except taking him to doctors and a quick errand here and there. But God is good and there are alot of prayers for him right now so hopefully a quick recovery is coming. Homecoming is this Sunday and boy anticapation is strong for me. Deciding what to cook, wondering if there will be people to come and if there are enough seats and tables and etc..........The list could go on for hours but I will stop here.Homecoming is a time to reflect on all past and present church members and how our church Berea Baptist on Hickory-Grove Rd. has affected the community. Please be in prayer for my family and also for our Homecoming..Till next time.

College days

Well yesterday we drove to Columbia,SC to visit our oldest,Kelly 19, who just went to college last month. Although she is my step-daughter I love her and hope she gets a great education off at college. See I know college can be great but I NEVER wanted to go there. I always wanted to be a momma and a wife. Which I am both and proud of it. So I know that some are college minded but I wasnt one of them. Well busy days are ahead of my family. We are buying a modular home and putting it on my parents land next to their home one mile from where I live. Also I am going in with my high school best friend and buying the local CURVES in Dallas NC. All this sounds great but now my live in Father in Law is sick. Mentally and maybe physically too. Which gives me flasgbacks of all the family I have helped take care of while they were sick..I am not sure how I am going to handle all these things if Kenny doesn't get better. I am so overwhelmed right now. But I know with God I can do all things. So my crazy busy life in NC continues..............

Well today is my first blog

I have so enjoyed reading other blogs so I thought I would try one myself.. Not sure how often I can post since I am Busy in NC. No pun intended. Life is good here in Dallas,NC. I was born and raised here. I left after I got married but of course we came back. Dallas is a very small town where almost everyone knows you. And your business. No really everyone seems to be connected one way or another. Kinda like Facebook. You look at your friends friends and you think "How do they know her/him?" So you ask and it truly is a small world. Anyway back to Facebook, boy am I addicted to it. Thank God I came to my senses and sold my farm.LOL. really I was consumed with it. Now I have time to actually keep up with my past and present friends. Well enough for now. I hope this comes out right. I have no schooling on blogging but have a good friend Just me Beth from my church who can help me when I ask.
